But if you want to maximize your performance, you need to put a lot of your budget towards a great graphics card. However, YouTuber and Gamer RandomGaminginHD recently put the new RTX 4070 into a test system alongside a Pentium Gold G7400, a surprisingly cheap CPU, to see if it could still deliver playable results. The Pentium Gold G7400 is a two-core processor with a base frequency of 3.7 GHz and currently goes for $89. This chip is from 2022 and runs in the same LGA 1700 socket as an Intel 12th or 13th Gen Core CPU. On the flip side, the RTX 4070 is a much more powerful card, featuring an AD104 GPU with 5,888 GPU cores, 184 Tensor Cores, and a boost clock of 2,475 MHz, and 12GB of VRAM. RandomGaminginHD tested out a few games on this budget combo and the results were surprisingly playable. Forza Horizon 5 was tested at 1440p ultra and achieved an 83 fps average with a 44 fps 1% low.
